Rating: Moderate
Length: 1.5 km
Type: Hiking

This is a short, one and a half kilometer, very steep climb to a popular lookoff followed by a rocky descent through mossy hemlock woods.

From the Gibraltar trailhead parking lot, proceed for a few steps to the northern entrance of this 1.5 km loop trail, which climbs steeply through fir woods to Gibraltar Rock for a birds-eye view of the river and road immediately below. After running along the edge of this ridge for several hundred metres, it gradually wends downward past tall firs and mossy boulders to rejoin the rail trail at a spot 1.1 km from the Gibraltar trailhead.
