Purpose of the Musquodoboit Trailway Association
Develop & Maintain Trail
To develop and maintain the old rail line between the Musquodoboit Harbour railway museum and Gibraltar Rock as a non-motorized recreational walking, biking, and snowshoe/ski trail
Develop & Manage
To develop and manage for recreational purposes the interconnecting lake system in the White Lake and Ship Harbour Long Lake wilderness areas
Develop Amenities
To develop trail amenities (such benches, picnic shelters, and pit toilets) as required
Manage & Direct
To manage and direct all trail planning and building activities in an environmentally responsible fashion to cooperate with other trail groups in planning a route for the Trans-Canada Trail to connect to the Musquodoboit Trailway
Plan & Construct
To plan and construct wilderness ridge trails in the White Lake and Ship Harbour Long Lake wilderness areas
